OAKVILLE ONTARIO
- Jonak Brothers Racing, along with driver Travis Walker, from Mississauga, took the wraps of the #40 Oakville Honda/Ace Auto Collision/Loft Transportation/Signs Alive/Impact Racing Products Honda Civic that Walker will drive in the 2004 Honda Michelin Series today at Oakville Honda.

Oakville Honda General Manager Alan Manessy was excited to see the finished version of car that Oakville Honda sponsors.

Alan Manessy"This really is a great time for us. We have our new location here just north of the QEW and East of Trafalgar, and now we have Travis and his Oakville Honda all set to go this weekend. It was fantastic that the employees here got to see the car, and we're happy that Jonak Brothers racing chose Oakville Honda to unveil the car."  (ASN Canada FIA note:  Alan is a former racer himself and has some great pictures from the past!).

Representatives from Ace Auto Collision, Signs Alive and Loft Transportation were also on hand to get their first look at the completed car.

Walker has already completed testing for this weekend's season opening race at Mosport, and he is confident heading into the biggest race of his career.
"Today I realized just all the support I have - from so many people and companies," Walker said. "Oakville Honda has been great getting the parts for the car we need, and Rick at Signs Alive has been working non stop to get the decals ready for today. Impact Racing delivered the new suit on time, just like they said they would."
"Now all I need is to pay everybody back for their hard work this weekend at Mosport. We tested at Mosport last week and I am confident going in. Mark Jonak has given me a great car for the weekend and I am sure we will have a good result on Sunday."

Mark Jonak also likes the chances of his young charge. "Travis has responded really well to the input we have given him on driving this style of car. He was quick in testing, and I think he understands what his job is this weekend. It will be a big test for him, but I feel he is as ready as he can be."
