Karting returns to the Shores of Kempenfelt Bay! City of Barrie takes final steps to approve the Barrie Karting Grand Prix scheduled for June 24, 25 and 26. |

Last night, the City of Barrie Council unanimously accepted the proposal for the Barrie Karting Grand Prix and now the proposal will go forward for final approval, considered to be a formality, at the Council meeting next Monday night.
Cameron Motorsports Bob Cameron was delighted with the news from Barrie,
commenting We are excited that our proposal was accepted by the City of Barrie.
The Cameron Motorsports team along with ASN Canada FIA worked hard to prepare
the proposal to Barrie which will feature the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting
Championship. Now we can begin the detailed planning and promotion for this
important event.
This is a great day for the Ontario karting community said ASN Canada FIAs
Paul Cooke. We are pleased that Council is satisfied with the Cameron Motorsports application, and we look forward to next weeks final approval. In
the meantime, Cameron Motorsports can proceed with meeting with the city staff
to lay out the particulars of the event.
