2008 ASN Canada FIA Canadian SoloSprint Championship $5,000 Travel Fund Created

Mississauga, Ontario – June 25, 2008

ASN Canada FIA has created an exciting travel fund program designed to help encourage country wide participation in the 2008 ASN Canada FIA Canadian SoloSprint Championship supported by Trac Racing Depot and Talon Tire, August 29-31, 2008, Calabogie Motorsports Park in Calabogie, Ontario.

Details of the Travel Fund:

• Up to $5,000 is available ($1,000 per competitor to a limit of 5 competitors);
• Eligibility is open to any Canadian competitor who lives outside of Ontario and Quebec and drives/tows his competition vehicle and takes part in the event;
• Cheques will be sent to the home address of the eligible competitors during the week of September 8, 2008.

Registration Process:

• An email request to be considered for the travel fund should be sent to Terry Epp [email protected] and include the following information (name, complete mailing address, phone number, type of car and class);
• The time of arrival of the email will determine the numerical order in which the applications are prioritized;
• At the conclusion of the event, participation will be verified and the first five validated participants will be awarded $1,000 each.

Additional News:

• ARMS, WCMA and CACC have announced a supplementary travel fund to the ASN Canada FIA travel fund and further financially support competitors from their regions who attend the Canadian SoloSprint Championships;
• Competitors should contact their territory for details about these programs as well as details on how to apply for these additional travel funds.
