Message from Paul Cooke

July 12, 2003 OAKVILLE

A month after having lost an argument with an 8,000 pound concrete block at the Canadian Formula One race, things are progressing well.

A week ago, I managed to get to the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship event at Sutton for 3 days and enjoyed the three days immensely.

Tuesday of this week, both leg casts were removed and replaced with special air splits.  Not able to walk yet.  Looking forward to the next few weeks as the legs regain strength.  The rest of the various hurts are starting to go away.

I am grateful to Dr. Jacques Bouchard, Dr. Ronald Denis and the entire Montreal F1 medical team as well as the staff at Montreal's Sacr-Coeur hospital for their professional and caring assistance.

As well, a special "Thank You" to my wife Cher and my son Stephen for their fantastic support.

And a special "Thank You" to Eppie Wietzes who took the time to come to Montreal from Toronto with his motorhome to bring us home to Oakville.

And "Thank You" to the countless best wishes and offers of help received from the motorsport community.and my colleagues at ASN Canada FIA.

See you at the races!

Regards,

Paul
