One of the founding drivers in General Motors' Corvette sports car racing program, Ron Fellows brought the yellow Vette its first ALMS win in September of 2000 at Texas Motor Speedway.

That was the springboard for a superb 2001 season that included wins at Texas, Sears Point, Portland, Mosport and Mid-Ohio with co-driver Johnny O'Connell.  He, O'Connell and Scott Pruett also won the GTS class in the 24 Hours of Le Mans last year, and he also drove the Corvette to an overall win in the 2001 Daytona 24 Hour event.  Prior to the formation of the Corvette team in 1999, Fellows did some sports car racing in Prototypes, but most of his experience has been in full-bodied cars. 

He was a star on the SCCA Trans-Am Series for many years, scoring 19 race wins from 1988 through 1996, fifth on the series' all-time winning drivers list.  He was in the top five of the series standings every year from 1991 through 1996 and was runner-up in 1993, 1994 and 1995, though he never won the title.  His early professional racing successes came in Canada's GM Challenge Series, where he won eight races from 1986 through 1989, and the 1989 championship.

Fellows has also had some strong accomplishments in NASCAR racing, using his road racing skills in one-off events on road courses.  He won NASCAR's annual Busch Grand National event at Watkins Glen in 1998, 2000 and 2001 and the track's Craftsman Truck event in 1997 and 1999.  He has also competed in the NASCAR Winston Cup event at The Glen and at Sears Point.
