Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship

May 27, 2003 - Mississauga, Ontario - ASN Canada FIA and the Ontario KartSport Development Group jointly announced this afternoon that the second round of the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship presented by the Toronto Star Wheels and the Ontario KartSport Championship scheduled for the Innisfil Kart Track at Innisfil, Ontario this coming weekend will now take place at the 3S Track facility at Sutton, Ontario.

Paul Cooke, ASN's Director of Karting, stated: "We are disappointed that the second round of our Championships will not be at the Innisfil track this weekend.  We were advised yesterday (Monday) by the Innisfil municipal officials that there may be technical problems with the zoning of the track property".

"On the other hand," Mr. Cooke stated, "we are pleased that the Chiovitti family, owners of the karting facility at Sutton Ontario, stepped forward and offered their track on such short notice.  This speaks well of the closeness of the Ontario karsport community, and we are sure that all of the drivers and their families and team members, while inconvenienced by the change will be happy that the races will be run".

Mr. Chiovitti, on behalf of the 3S Sutton facility said:  "The Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship presented by the Toronto Star Wheels and the Ontario KartSport Championships Series are important to all kart drivers in Canada".and the Chiovittis and the Simcoe Kart Club are pleased to be able to jump in and help out". 

The 3S Karting facility is located at Sutton, Ontario.
