Round 4 - July 17 & 18
Sutton starts second half of season for Sunoco karting stars!

SUTTON, ONTARIO – One of the most historic tracks in Ontario karting, 3S Go Karts in Sutton, Ontario, will host the fourth of six rounds of the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship Presented by Toronto Star Wheels this weekend.

With this being the fourth weekend in the series, many of the drivers are planning their championship runs, including Formula Senior points leader Cale Meeks. “This is an important weekend,” says the Wasaga Beach driver that calls Sutton his home track. “With no drops this year, every race counts.”

Last year, the teams had the option to ‘drop’ one weekend, but this year every race counts. This gives each driver a complete understanding of how he or she is doing in the championship chase. More importantly, it puts an emphasis on obtaining results in every round, and while there is no substitute for winning, consistent finishes will definitely help the causes of most. “For sure, consistency is the key,” says Leamington’s Jennifer Rempel, who sits third in both Canada Senior Heavy and Light. She, like the others at the top of their classes know a win would be nice, but a dnf (did not finish) or a finish outside the top 10 would be devastating.

As they head into this weekend, here are the top three in each of the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship Presented by Toronto Star Wheels classes;

Canada Junior Heavy - Pearce Herder leads with 305 points to Michael Glaze’s 143. Glaze is only one point up on Justin Holtom.

Canada Junior Light -  Keenan Harris leads by 18 points( 255 to 237) over Taylor Holdaway. JonMichael Ostella is third with 189 points.
